Top Ten Tuesday (15)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

Today’s theme is the Last Ten Books That Came Into My Possession! I’ve made this a mix of those I’ve bought, a few library books, one that a friend sent me, and a couple of preorders that I super can’t wait for!

Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson

I’ve been meaning to buy this book for a while now since I loved it! I went to the Strand over this past weekend and I saw Roller Girl at such a good price that I had to get it! I’ve already reviewed this one so please do check that out here!

Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway

This one came out last month and I just had to purchase my own copy since the story really appealed to me and I totally adore the cover! I haven’t read it yet but I’m excited to eventually get to it!

What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen

Sarah Dessen is my favorite author but I have a bit of a quirk when it comes to purchasing her books. I’ve been collecting them since I was in high school and back then I mostly bought paperbacks. Because of this, I’ve waited to buy this particular tale until the paperback version published but now I have it!

BiblioTech: Why Libraries Matter More Than Ever in the Age of Google by John Palfrey

I’m not usually into nonfiction books. However, a friend of mine works for the publishing company that produced this title. She sent me a copy of it knowing how I’m currently studying to become a librarian!

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Alas, I don’t technically own this book yet since it publishes later this year. But I’ve already put in a preorder for it since I’m so excited to read it! I love the Grisha books and I can’t wait to learn more about that universe!!

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

Rainbow Rowell is one of my favorite authors and I will read anything she publishes. Although this book doesn’t come out until the fall, I’ve already preordered it since I can’t wait for it!!

Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway

I haven’t yet read anything by Robin Benway but this book interested me because it just sounds really quite comical so I got a copy from the library! I’m still debating if I should read this one first or if I should read Emmy & Oliver before it!

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

I’ve actually recently gotten all three books from this series from the library! I adore Jenny Han’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before so I figured I should read some of her other books. Also, the first book has a blurb from Sarah Dessen!

All the Rage by Courtney Summers

I’ve never read anything by Courtney Summers but I decided to pick this one up from my library. I’ve heard it’s a tough book but also really important.

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

I actually own the whole Shatter Me series in book form! But I decided to reread the first book as an audiobook from my library and I’m totally enjoying it!

Have you gotten any books lately that you’re totally excited for? Are there any books that you’d preorder since you can’t wait for them?

Top Ten Tuesday (14)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

Today’s theme is Top Ten Hyped Books I’ve Never Read! A lot of the books I’ve included here were also on my first Top Ten Tuesday post, which was for the Top Ten Books I Can’t Believe I Haven’t/Want To Read From the Fantasy Genre. I wrote that back in February but I still haven’t gotten to some of those books. My problem is that I always read so much more contemporary over fantasy but I’m really missing out on some great reads. But I will eventually at some point hopefully get to all of these books!

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski

Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch

Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers

A Darker Shade final for Irene

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The Selection by Kiera Cass

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

So what hyped books do you want to read but haven’t gotten the chance to yet? Are there any hyped reads that you know you’ll never be interested in?
